MD03 Series Three-stage

Originally MD03 Series was developed as a successor of MD04 Series, mainly with a focus on modern trends in the telecom industry – TECs with lower current and higher voltage. And the main focus was on single-stage thermoelectric coolers only. But starting from 2019 we turn the technology to the next level and apply now our Advanced HD assembly process for multistage TECs. The result is – incredibly compact multistage thermoelectric coolers, with up to 8 times smaller volume dimensions, comparing with standard types, without any compromises in cooling performance.
Introducing 3MD03 thermoelectric coolers – 3-stage TECs with the same cold side dimensions as common types on the market, but 8(!) times smaller volume dimensions. Considerably smaller TEC size allows to use these TECs with smaller headers and packages, switch to another form-factor (for example from TO-8 header to TO-39). Much smaler TEC size reduces the passive heatload from convection in gas-filled ambience, which makes these more efficient. Finally smaller TECs can reduce final product size, weight and cost. The standard and most common three-stage 3MD03 thermoelectric coolers are listed in the table below.
