2MDX04 Series

2MDX04 thermoelectric coolers are the analogs of our 2MD04 TECs by performance but have a larger cold side. All 2MDX TECs are based on HD technology and have the revised commutation between pellets on TEC second stage. The mix of serial and parallel commutation allows to increase the number of pellets on top stage and enlarge TEC cold side. The optimal stage coefficient is achieved by pellets height adjustment. Such method allows to enlarge TEC cold side, increase the mechanical endurance of TEC and keep the optimal cooling performance without power consumption increasing. 2MDX TE coolers are optimal for various sensing applications where 2-stage TEC cooling performance and large cold side are required. 2MDX04 TECs are assembled using RoHS compliant Sn-Sb solder (Tmelt=230ºC) and meet Telcordia GR-486 standard requirements. The examples of the most common 2MDX04 thermoelectric types are listed in the table below. Detailed TEC drawings, 3D models, performance plots and estimations for particular application conditions are provided by request.
